When you crave a sweet, try to eat one that has some fiber. Ideally, this would be an apple, banana, or other piece of fruit. If fruit won't cut it for your craving, try a fiber-supplemented treat.
Some examples are:
FiberOne bars, or other meal replacement bars Fudge bars (fudgesicles)- many are supplemented with fiber Skinny Cow ice cream bars - they have 3 grams of supplemental fiber Cereal bars
Please feel free to list others that you think of.
So, why should you pick sweets that have fiber, even when it doesn't naturally occur in the food? Fiber fills you up and makes the treat satiate you. This is rare, as most treats make you hungrier and cause your blood sugar to rollercoaster. You're likely to be satisfied with just one high-fiber treat, as compared to wanting several of a treat that doesn't have fiber.
Also, the more fiber and protein that you're eating during the day, and the more often you eat, the less likely you'll have cravings for sweets at all.
