Weight Loss Extra Credit
One of my favorite things to tell my clients is that when you turn down junk food, you not only avoided the calories in that food, but your body automatically gives you some "extra credit" fat burning as a reward for the good decision! Now, of course this makes no sense scientifically, but I still like thinking like this. In a way it is true, because with each time you turn down junk food, you are strengthening your resolve and building great habits. So, give yourself some credit. In your mind, list all of the junk foods you've been offered and turned down this week. (Now when someone offers you a donut, you'll be happy. Not because you want a donut, but because you want this "extra credit" fat burning that you get by turning it down!)
