Overeating
What are some techniques you use to make sure you don't overeat? Here are some of my favorites: * Eat slowly. I try to always be the last one done eating, and I often have to just take the rest of the food to go, or save it for another meal rather than make people wait. This usually results in my eating just the right amount. * Eat about half as much as you feel like you need. This is a great technique for when you're really really hungry, because what you need is to eat right away, not to eat a ton. * Drink an herbal tea before you eat, or before snacks. When you really just want something to do with your mouth, this comes in handy. Also, it fills you up with a warm beverage, which makes you feel full sooner during your meal.
