What You'll Need

MyFitnessTrainer.com was designed to allow you to work out in the privacy of your home, with minimal equipment.  There are a few things that you will need, however.  For your convenience, I've listed my recommendations for each product here: MY RECOMMENDATIONS.

Here is a description of the things that you will need:

The first week of your training program, you will be waiting to receive your bodyfat measurement calipers.  If you signed up for a 3-month package or more, the calipers are free and are on the way!  If you opted for the month-to-month membership, you will need to purchase your own calipers.

You will also need a personal scale.  I'd also recommend a food scale, although you can use the site without one.

You will also need a measuring tape.  The Myotape, which is on the recommended products page, is a great way to ensure that you take accurate measurements from time to time.

As soon as you have your measuring tape, calipers and scale, you can enter your first measurements.  Then your program will be able to determine your goal calories, and you'll be on your way!

During the first week of the program, you won't need any fitness equipment.  The exercises can all be done with just your body weight in the living room.

The rest of the program will require that you have two pieces of exercise equipment- a ball and a band.  Generally the middle size (65 cm) ball is the best. For most people the band needs to be the medium to heavy size.  You may want to start with a weaker band and work your way up. The bands and balls are also listed on the Recommended Products page for your convenience.

This program is designed for you to be able to work out at home.  You won't need to get a gym membership or buy heavy dumbbells.  If you do have access to weights, you have the option of changing out some of the at-home exercises for gym exercises which are shown in the exercise library.
