Play Your Way To Fitness



Think Exercise is "no fun?"  Maybe it's time for you to change your idea of exercise.  There are hundreds of ways to get in a workout while having a good time.  Here are 5 to consider:

1. Hula hoop.  You'll be amazed at how quickly you work up a sweat.  Invite your children or a friend to join you and time will fly!

2. Play tennis.  Even if you aren't exactly Venus or Serena, you'll get a great workout chasing after those balls.  And you'll have so much fun that you won't even notice the effort.

3. Go rollerblading.  This is a very fun and low-impact way to burn fat and enjoy the fall weather. 

4. Play Wii.  If it's rainy outside, play inside with an interactive video game.  I've heard that the bowling is a lot of fun.

5. Zumba!  There's a good reason why Zumba has taken the country by storm.  Latin dance is a wonderful and enjoyable way to shed pounds.  Join a class or just buy an exercise video to dance in the privacy of your living room.  Watch out, you may join the ranks of Zumba addicts!

Whatever you do to burn extra calories this fall, I recommend that you make it something you enjoy.  Human nature says that we won't continue indefinitely with something we don't enjoy.  So call up a friend and invite them to come out and play!
