Top Ten Tips For Finding Time To Exercise

10. Make time.  For example, if you usually spend 30 minutes making dinner, find some easy slow cooker recipes that free up your time after work.  Those extra 25 minutes can be perfect for a quick but effective workout.

9. Split up your workouts.  You can do 20 minutes of cardio when you first wake up, and then do some strength training exercises on lunch break.  There is no need to carve out a large block of time for exercise- just squeeze it in in pieces.

8. Multitask.  If workouts are taking time away from your family, it's time to take your family to the workouts.  Play tennis with your significant other, or play a fast-paced game of tag with your kids.  Kids also tend to love doing exercise videos, especially dance videos, as a family.

7. Work out at home.  Using a program like MyFitnessTrainer.com, you can do two new strength training exercises each day at home with minimal equipment.  This allows you to spend less time driving to the gym, changing clothes, etc.

6. Combine your workout with your "down time."  If you regularly watch a show or two on TV, consider working out during the show.  If this is too much, try doing intense exercises during the commercials.  Then you'll have a goal in mind- to last until the show comes back on.

5. Burn extra calories all day long.  Take the stairs, park far away, fidget at your desk, flex your muscles as you sit in the car, or bike instead of riding.  You'll be amazed at how those extra calories add up.

4. Suggest active "girls nights" and parties.  Instead of getting together with friends to stand around and eat and drink, plan to burn some calories and have a lot more fun.  Have a Wii competition or go bowling.  You'll make better memories and burn fat while you do it.

3. Stretch in the shower.  Most people do not stretch enough to get the desired result.  The shower is a perfect place to get in an extra stretch or two because the hot water loosens up your muscles.  Hold each stretch for at least 20 seconds under the water flow.

2. Schedule your workouts.  Practice saying, "sorry, that time won't work.  I have an appointment."

1. Work out first thing in the morning or last thing at night.  (You'll choose which depending on whether you're a morning person or a night owl.)

There you go- no more excuses.  So, get out and get a great workout!
