Meaningful Weight Loss- Weight Loss For Charity

Would you like an added motivation to lose weight?  Wouldn't it be fun to know that your weight loss is not only improving your health and mobility and positively influencing your social and family life, but also helping a complete stranger?

Introducing Meaningful Weight Loss!

It's your own private weight loss contest, with a prize that can truly motivate you and bless lives of others in your community or far away.

Want to play?  Here are the rules:

1. Choose the perfect charity.  Make it a charity that means something to you.  The more you can understand and relate to the people you choose to help, the more motivation you will feel to stick to your goals.  If you're having trouble making a decision, please consider two of my favorite charities.  They are listed at the bottom of this page.

2. Set a pledge amount per pound of weight loss.  This can be either total pounds lost or total pounds of fat loss, depending on whether or not you use a caliper with your MyFitnessTrainer.com program.  For even more motivation and family/friend support, consider asking those dear to you to pledge an amount per pound as well.  Just direct them to this webpage to show them what you're doing.

3. Track your pounds lost as you strive to meet your MyFitnessTrainer.com goals.

4. Make your donations as-you-go, or in a lump sum at the time that you reach your weight loss goal.  Multiply your pounds lost by the pledge amount.  For example, if you pledge $5 per pound and lose 10 pounds, you will donate $50 to your charity.

5. Consider competing with a friend.  Whoever reaches their goal the first gets to choose the charity that both of you donate to.

6. Last but not least, please share your story with MyFitnessTrainer.com.  Just email Annette through the Contact link at the top of this page, and tell me about your results.  Your story may be chosen to be featured on MyFitnessTrainer.com.

Have fun with your meaningful weight loss!
